School Group Bookings

School groups can explore the heart of Canterbury with an expert Guide, and discover the sights, sounds and stories of this ancient city, full of history and medieval charm. All tours route through the Cathedral Precincts allowing groups to marvel at its grand exterior.

Tours last 90-minutes and are available year-round (excluding Christmas Day).

• An opportunity for students to experience and learn about some of Canterbury's most significant places and events in history, and be transported through engaging storytelling.
• The route and theme of your tour can be arranged to suit your specific learning requirements and special interests. It can be arranged at a day and time to suit your group’s schedule and itinerary.
• Our guides are fully qualified Green Badge Guides, and are all aware of how to keep the attention of young people, speaking loudly and clearly and using humour and gesture as much as possible.
• We can arrange tours in English or clear/easy English for those learning the langugage. We can also offer tours in French, German, Dutch, Italian and Spanish, subject to availability.

If your group has a particular interest, or would like to experience something a little different, take a look at our Themed Tours. We offer a range of in-depth subjects from Romans to Royals, Medieval Canterbury and Literary Connections. Longer tours and combined tours are available to make your time in Canterbury an experience to remember.

School and university groups in particular may find our themes such as Canterbury Tales, the History of Health or Business tours, of interest. We also offer foreign language study tours for UK students studying French, German, Spanish or Italian.

Please note tours normally include the Cathedral Precincts (around the outside of the Cathedral). If your group wishes to visit inside the Cathedral, this must be booked separately through Canterbury Cathedral.

1 adult goes free with every 20 students/children. These prices are per person for our 90 minute guided walking tour of Canterbury. For longer tours, please contact us. The minimum charge for groups is £150.00.

Group numbers
We have no minimum or maximum number of people that we accept on our tours. Please bear in mind our minimum group charge for small groups (see pricing above). Large groups are subject to availability, so booking as far in advance as possible is advised.
